"Quality & Dependability"

                PORTABLE VS. STANDBY GENERATORS

 PORTABLE

  • Operates on gasoline and burns roughly 1 gal/hr of fuel even at 50% load capacity
  • Generator must be started manually by either a pull start or electric start
  • Generator power must be transferred manually when utility power fails
  • For each utility power failure you must wheel the generator to a well ventilated area outdoors and plug in the desired loads or circuits

STANDBY

  • Operates on a permanently installed liquid propane or natural gas line
  • Generator starts automatically when it senses a power failure
  • Generator power transfers automatically when utility power fails
  • A standby generator is permanently installed outdoors and is always connected to the desired load through an automatic transfer switch which is ready to transfer power for you 24/7
